Last year's GAP holiday commercials are my favorite. They called them Gap Merry Mix It. The all cast rendition of Jingle Bells is my favorite. Enjoy...

Let's Brunch!
On the weekends, I love going out for breakfast or brunch. I generally stick to Weezie's or Joe's Inn (and once, one fabulous time, I went to Godfrey's Sunday brunch) because I know I will not be disappointed. Having a disappointing breakfast/brunch will ruin your whole day.
I've been wanting to branch out and try a few of the other places Richmond has to offer but could never think past my regular places when the time came to change it up. Luckily for me, Style Weekly put together a nifty list (we all know I *love* lists) for me. Check it out here.
The places I have starred as priority locations to check out are: Babe's, The Black Sheep, Café Diem, Café Gutenberg (they had me at pumpkin spice waffles), Café Rustica, The Hill Café, Kitchen 64, Perly's, Water Grill, and Zeus Gallery Café. I've been to a few of these places for lunch or dinner and can only believe that their brunch selections are just as tasty.
Think I can hit them all up by the time summer arrives? Yeah, me either, but I'll give it a shot.

A Snuggie!

See that zebra print blanket? It's no regular blanket but a BLANKET WITH SLEEVES!! Being warm and toasty under a blanket is even better when your hands are free for knitting. Loves it!

Chip, Lady Grey and Rice Krispies
They say it takes 21 days form a habit. I beg to differ. I think it only takes a week. One week, that’s how long it took my rice krispie treat/cup of lady grey tea habit to form.
Around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, I require a snack. Instead of munching on popcorn (which just gets stuck on my teeth) or a 100 calorie snack pack or whatever, I’ve been having a cup of tea. It’s a nice little ritual. Also, my teacup, Chip, is adorable and I like to see it on my desk. (I named my teacup Chip because there’s a chip in it. Very Beauty and the Beast, non?)
So Lady Grey and I have been going for a little while now and then came along the Rice Krispie treat. A co-worker/friend had a stash in her desk and one afternoon I made the mistake of eating one with my cup of tea. I am now hooked. It’s like call and response. I taste the Lady Grey tea and I immediately want a Rice Krispie treat. Marco! Polo! Grey! Krispie! It’s really the best little afternoon snack ever. And did I mention that my teacup, Chip, is adorable?

Need it!
I need this desk chair in my life.

A Few of My Favorite Things, Volume II
1) I like that boom, boom, pow. Literally 'cuz I love fireworks. And this Saturday night is going to be all about fireworks.

2) Flats. I am moving away from high-heels and embracing flats. They just make my life easier. I'm no Carrie Bradshaw, running around the City in 4 inch heels. Not happening. There are grates and cracks in the sidewalk and I'm not the most coordinate person as it is. So flats it is!

3) GRTC. Deciding to ride the bus to and from work was a great idea! I'm loving my stress-free commutes. And did I mention that is saves me 40 bucks a month in parking garage fees? Even better.

A Few of My Favorite Things, Volume I
What am I loving at this moment in time? This:
1. Wendy's Twisted Frosty - omg! The goodness of a Frosty with cookie dough mixed in? Heaven!

2. Year One - Jack Black, Oliver Platt, Michael Cera, Paul Rudd, David Cross, Hank Azaria, Bill Hadar, seriously I could go on and on!

3. 98.9 Liberty - except for their incessant need to play U2, I can listen to this station all day at work. They rarely repeat themselves (at least during my working/listening hours) and they play a good mix of random stuff.
